Yoke Yourself to Team Christ

Jesus says: I am the way. I am the truth. I am the light. You cannot be on “THE WAY,” His Way, and be in fear for your safety or esteem your burden to be greater than someone else.

“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are haven laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” St Matthew 11:28-30

So much to learn here! He says take MY yoke. His yoke and his burden were to carry the weight of the world's sins. Yet He was promising rest. WHAT?!!

His yoke and burden are easy compared to ours. He wasn’t saying come and let me take your burden. He had already committed to doing that. He said come to me and feel how light my burden is. Live life as I do, and it’s easy. He can provide rest unto our souls because he is meek and lowly of heart. That is what allows his yoke to be easy. He didn’t set himself up as important. If He esteemed His job to be bigger than ours, He would have seen His yoke as heavy. Instead, He invited us to come and be equal to Him and feel how easy it is when you don’t esteem your problems or purpose any bigger or higher than anyone else's.
